The wheel is where Daniel's practice began and where it returns. Over nearly a decade, his relationship with the potter's wheel has evolved from learning the mechanics of centering to competing against the world's best throwers in international competition — but the objects that emerge from the studio remain grounded in the same intention: form that earns its place in everyday life.
The Wheel-Thrown Series encompasses the functional objects that come out of ongoing studio production — cups, bowls, vases, pitchers, and lidded forms. Each piece carries the mark of its making: the subtle compression lines from centering, the pull of the walls, the particular gesture of the lip.
These are objects made to be used. Their beauty is inseparable from their utility — and their utility is inseparable from the hand that made them. Available through DAPOTTERY Studio and as limited editions via the shop.
